THE BILLY FURY AND CLIFF RICHARD CHARITY SHOW  AT THE WALLS CLUB GLOUCESTER FRIDAY 21ST FEBRUARY 2009

This was a night I had been looking forward to for some time, it was organised by my agent and good friends Dave and Hazel Stollwothy (D and H Promotions) to raise money for MS.
The night was a sell out so we were hoping to raise lots of money for the charity.
We arrived at the club nice and early at 5.30 as we were trying out our new p a and I was worried we would not have enough sound to fill the club, I had borrowed an extra set of speakers just in case but did not have to worry as the new p a was great.
Dave and Hazel were already there setting up the tables, Chris and I carried on with the p a and lights, this took about an hour and by 7.00 we were all ready, the doors opened and lots of old friends and new people came in, I was playing some classic Rock N Roll on the disco to get the atmosphere going.

David Clifford the Cliff Richard tribute had not yet turned up. He was stuck in Traffic miles away. Dave asked me if I could do any Cliff songs, I told him I knew about seven so I could do them three times over !
We need'nt have worried as Dave Clifford and his wife Farrady turned up
soon after..
Eight o'clock soon came round and I was back stage waiting for my intro music, I came on stage and what a wonderful reception from 200 Billy and Cliff fans, they were fantastic all night. After my one hour Billy Fury tribute with everyone singing along (even to the b sides) it was time for Dave to take the stage as Cliff Richard and what a great job he done, the dance floor was packed as he went through about 20 of Cliff's biggest hits, a  fantastic performance and Dave and his wife Faraday were both lovely people to work with.
The raffle was next and I have to say Dave and Hazel done a great job with this, it was the quickest raffle I have ever seen, all over in less than 15 minutes.
After a couple of announcements I was back on stage for my Rock N Roll set, by now the crowd were really buzzing and up for a good time, the dance floor was packed again and everyone was having a good time, after an hour it was time for my last song, I usually finish of with  The Wonder Of You by Elvis, this went down really well with everyone joining in on the dance floor, the crowd would'nt let me leave the stage so I finished the night of with American Trilogy.
We raised over £1100 on the night for MS, many thanks to all who supported us, cant wait for the next one.
